Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about registration, tournaments, schedules, and travel. Can’t find your answer? Contact us — we’re happy to help.

Registration

How do I register my athlete or team?

Each program page — basketball, baseball, flag football, softball, and lacrosse — lists current leagues, tournaments, and camps with registration links. Registration and payment are completed online through our registration platform.

Who completes the registration?

A parent or legal guardian must complete registration for any participant under 18, including accepting the participation waiver. Team registrations are completed by the coach or team manager.

What is your refund policy?

[STATE THE WSS REFUND POLICY — refund window, fees, and how weather cancellations are credited.] See our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Tournaments & Events

Where are WSS events held?

WSS is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and hosts events at facilities across the state. Teams travel to our tournaments from across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan. Venue details are listed on each event page.

When are schedules posted?

Schedules are posted on our Schedules page. [STATE TIMING — e.g., “no later than the Wednesday before the event.”] Registered teams are notified when schedules go live.

What happens if weather affects an event?

Player safety comes first. If weather forces schedule changes, WSS will update the event page and notify registered teams as quickly as possible. Formats may be adjusted to complete play when conditions allow.

What are the age or grade divisions?

Divisions vary by sport and event — each event page lists its divisions. [ADD A GENERAL RULE IF WSS HAS ONE, e.g., grade-based vs. age-based cutoffs.]

Travel

Do you have hotel recommendations for traveling teams?

Yes — visit our Hotel/Travel page for partner hotels and booking links for out-of-town teams. [NOTE IF EVENTS ARE STAY-TO-PLAY.]
