2027 Boys State Tournament

Any boys basketball club basketball team, grades 3-8,  from Wisconsin can enter this tournament. 

The majority of the roster must draw from a single home program, school district, or local geographic feeder area (not assembled by recruiting top players across multiple existing programs.)

When you register, you will rank your team(s) A, B, or C level. Approximentally 1 month prior to the tournament, a resume will then need to be filled out by head coach stating their key wins, key losses, and other valuable information. 

After resumes are submitted, a ranking email will go out to all head coaches again and they will vote based on resumes and in season experiences with other teams which tier they think a team belongs in. 

Tournament games will begin 8AM Saturday morning and conclude by late Sunday afternoon at the latest. 

In most cases, there will be pool play on Saturday followed by bracket play on Sunday.

All teams are guaranteed 4 games. 

Yes. All games will be live streamed.

WSS will review winter weather cancellations on a case by base basis. 

Teams that win 1st place in their tier will receive medals/rings? 

2nd-4th place will also be recognized in Tier 1.

WSS would review this situation on a case by case basis.   Please notify WSS if you have a player who would like to play on 2 teams. 

WSS tournament committee reserves the right to determine player eligibility.
